1. Attached is the 2020-2021 student leadership packet! ALL CURRENT HIGH SCHOOL BAND STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LEADERSHIP PROCESS!! This is not a requirement but there will be many details that could help with future applications for colleges, scholarships, work, etc. Note: Please read the application very carefully and do not hesitate to contact a director if you need more information. All the contents are due on Friday May 8th at 3:30 pm in a pdf form to be sent to email@example.com **Late applications will be accepted but late applications could affect selection**
2. We will have a meeting on Monday May 4th from 2:00-3:30 pm via Zoom to go over the requirements for each position, detail the expectations for the application process, go over how to construct a resume, and answer questions students may have. Please click on this link: https://forms.gle/JwbmBEgBhYHyrTYU6 and complete before May 4th so we can know who to expect at the meeting and what positions are being sought after beforehand. Parent permission must be granted before any students can attend the zoom conference. The zoom conference code will be released when we get closer to May 4th.
3. For the sake of convenience, the Teacher, Peer, and Senior Recommendation Forms should be completed though the following links to google forms. Use the link and the sentences below to send to your recommenders via email. *It is still up to the applicant the referrals complete the forms by the due date. 4. Drum Majors will have a conducting seminar on May 4th immediately after the leadership conference via Zoom. Any students wishing to apply for Drum Major can just continue the conference call and we will go over details regarding the Drum Major audition. The actual Drum Major audition will be held on Friday May 15th via Zoom with the directors. Times are TBD. These auditions will be one at a time, beginning with an evaluation of conducting skills, then a brief interview. We will hand out all additional materials needed for the conducting audition at the May 4th conducting seminar.
